UK iPad 2 arriving on online shoppers’ homes, sooner than expected.Posted by daisyhudson on April 12th, 2011
Those of you who tried to get an iPad 2 the day it was released either got what you wanted by going in line outside retail stores a few days before or stayed up all night and sniped through your local Apple online store. If you’re one of the few who got the chance to buy the iPad 2 on the same day, then we congratulate you. If not, then you might one of the thousands if not millions of people waiting that sweet package to arrive at your home.
This might be consoling news as a few reports suggest that the iPad 2 home deliveries are arriving two to three days earlier in the UK. This is the same for Germany, France and Italy.
It seems like Apple is stepping up their production deadlines in order to take advantage of the ridiculous demand that has brought sales of more than 4 million units of iPad 2 in its first month alone. Projections suggest that this number will go up to 12 million total in 2011 alone.
